FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LONGWOOD, Florida (January 5, 2015) – A1 Assets and A Gift for Teaching are proud to be teaming up once again to host an electronic recycling drive to benefit our local schools and community.
The collection event will be on Saturday, January 24th, between 8am-1pm, at A Gift For Teaching’s Orlando headquarters at 6501 Magic Way, Building 400C. At that time, computers, laptops, monitors, cell phones, office equipment, batteries, circuit boards, games, PDAs, and many more types of electronics will be accepted.
A Gift For Teaching has been serving Central Florida since 1998, and has proven itself to be an essential resource for local teachers by enabling them to obtain supplies they need in their classrooms, for free. Since its inception, AGFT has given out more than eighty million dollars worth of school supplies to teachers. In turn, the proceeds from collected items will directly benefit local students of all ages. More information is available at: www.agiftforteaching.org.
“It’s with great community partners such as A1 Assets that A Gift For Teaching can be the medium in which our students are getting the supplies they need,” said Katie Collins, Communications and Events Manager at A Gift For Teaching. “We couldn’t do it without every one of you – you have each made a huge difference in our community and in the lives of our students, and we couldn’t be more appreciative.”
All data on donated devices will be wiped by A1 Assets’ expert technicians in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and organizational best practices. Please note that there will be a $2 charge for all CRT monitors collected. Voluntary financial contributions and school supply donations are also appreciated. For businesses and residents with more than a pickup truck load, please contact A1 Assets directly by calling 407-339-7030 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
