A1 Assets and City of Winter Park Team Up Again for Autumn Electronics Recycling and Hazardous Materials Collection Event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONGWOOD, Florida (September 24, 2015) – A1 Assets is again partnering up with the City of Winter Park to host a free recycling event for residents to dispose of their unwanted electronics and hazardous waste.

The recycling drive will take place on Saturday, September 26, between 8am-12pm, at Winter Park’s Public Works Compound at 1409 Howell Branch Road, and will be open exclusively for the city’s residents. A1 Assets staff will be on hand to collect electronic devices, including old computers, monitors, laptops, telephones, stereo equipment, televisions, VCR & DVD players, and mobile gadgets, while city employees will also be collecting chemicals, oil/gasoline, tires, paint, propane tanks, and other types of hazardous chemicals and waste.

At another recycling drive hosted in Winter Park earlier this year, residents discarded nearly 7,000 pounds of e-waste. The organizers are hopeful that this number will be surpassed at this upcoming event.

“We are proud to be part of a continued longstanding partnership with the City of Winter Park for the collection of their electronic waste,” said David Leavitt, President and CEO of A1 Assets, Inc. “Their citizens’ frequent participation in public collection events is a testament to their awareness of the positive impact that electronic recycling has on their community’s well being.”

All discarded electronics will be processed at A1 Assets’ recycling facility in accordance to the strict procedures governed by the ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and R2 certification standards, which includes securely eradicating all data. For businesses and residents with more than a pickup truck load, please contact A1 Assets directly by calling 407-339-7030 or emailing recycle@a1assets.com.
