A1 Assets and City of Winter Park Team Up Again for Spring Electronics Recycling and Hazardous Materials Collection Event

LONGWOOD, Florida (April 23, 2015) – A1 Assets and the city of Winter Park are teaming up once again to hold a free recycling drive for residents to properly dispose of their unwanted electronics and hazardous waste.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, between 8am-12pm, at Winter Park’s Public Works Compound at 1409 Howell Branch Road, and will be open exclusively for city residents. At that time, A1 Assets staff will be on hand to collect electronic devices, including old computers, monitors, laptops, telephones, stereo equipment, televisions, VCR & DVD players, and mobile gadgets. Meanwhile, the city will also be collecting chemicals, oil/gasoline, tires, paint, propane tanks, and other types of hazardous chemicals and waste.

All electronics collected will be processed and recycled by A1 Assets in accordance to the strict procedures governed by the ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and R2 certification standards, which includes wiping all saved data from them.

“We are very happy to have been invited once again by the city of Winter Park to help their residents participate in responsible recycling practices,” said David Leavitt, President and CEO of A1 Assets, Inc. “As awareness about environmental health has grown, more and more citizens and municipalities reach out to us to offer the tools and resources to benefit their communities with the proper handling of e-waste. Our partnership with the city has existed for many years, and the consistent strong turnouts at their events are a testament to how much Winter Park’s residents care about their environment.”
