A1 Assets and Refresh Computers Host Electronics Recycling Drive for America Recycles Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONGWOOD, Florida (November 11, 2015) – A1 Assets and Refresh Computers are hosting an electronics recycling drive this weekend in commemoration of America Recycles Day. This event provides a valuable opportunity for residents from all across Central Florida to dispose of their old electronics for free, with the piece of mind that their devices will be properly handled by one of the state’s leading certified e-recyclers.

The collection event will be held on Sunday, November 15th, from 11am-5pm, at the Refresh Computers superstore located at 820 E. State Road 434 in Longwood. At that time, computers, LCD monitors, printers, phones, office equipment, stereo systems, circuit boards, and many more types of electronics will be accepted.

“A1 Assets is proud to be a part of the America Recycles Day tradition for the second year in a row,” said David Leavitt, Founder and CEO of A1 Assets, Inc. “These recycling collection events help bring public awareness to the importance of keeping potentially toxic e-waste from damaging the natural ecosystem. As a result, over a million pounds of recyclable electronics were kept out of Florida’s landfills in just this year alone.”

All data on discarded devices will be wiped by A1 Assets’ expert technicians in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and organizational best practices, and the materials will be processed through the proper environmentally friendly methods dictated by the R2, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards. For businesses and residents with more than a pickup truck load, or for CRT disposal, please contact A1 Assets directly by calling 407-339-7030 or emailing recycle@a1assets.com.
