FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LONGWOOD, Florida (April 20, 2015) – A1 Assets and Vann Data Services, Inc. are partnering up again for the eighth year in a row, celebrating Earth Day with an electronics recycling event on Wednesday, April 22nd between 10am-2pm.
The collection event will be held at the Vann Data headquarters, located at 1801 Dunn Avenue in Daytona Beach. The following items will be accepted for recycling: computers, monitors, laptops, telephones, office equipment, batteries, stereo equipment, games, and mobile devices. Those concerned about data security can rest assured – A1 Assets will wipe all sensitive data from hard drives and embedded memory of donated electronics in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and organizational best practices.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with Vann Data to help residents and businesses recycle their computers and electronics in that part of Volusia County,” said David Leavitt, President and CEO of A1 Assets. “Year after year, the event draws hundreds of people and businesses who understand the need to keep this material out of our landfills.”
“We are looking forward to another great event this year and hope to beat last year’s collection of 25,000 pounds,” said Janice Huffstickler, President of Vann Data Services, Inc. “Also, we’ll be grilling hot dogs, so come join us for lunch!”
For businesses and residents with more than a pickup truck load, please contact A1 Assets directly by calling 407-339-7030 or emailing recycle@a1assets.com. Please note that there will be a $2 charge for all CRT monitors collected.
