LONGWOOD, Florida (November 5, 2016) – A1 Assets is proud to be teaming up with A Gift For Teaching to host a week-long electronic recycling drive to benefit teachers and students in the Central Florida region.
The Fall 2016 E-Waste Week will begin on Monday, November 7th and run through Saturday, November 12th, at A Gift For Teaching’s headquarters, located at 6501 Magic Way, Building 400C, in Orlando. Collection will take place during their normal business hours of Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, and Saturday 8:30AM-12:00PM. Proceeds from items collected at this event will directly benefit AGFT.
Items that will be accepted include:
– Desktop and laptop computers
– Servers, server racks, and peripherals
– Keyboards, mice, and speakers
– Switches, routers, and network equipment
– Computer monitors (including: LCD, LED, Plasma)
– Hard drives, tape drives, & other storage devices
– Projectors
– Printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and fax machines
– Cell phone, laptop, rechargeable, and UPS batteries
– Power supplies and adapters
– Consumer electronics
– Telephones, PDAs, tablets, and cell phones
– Game consoles and controllers
– DVD/CD/VCR players
– Stereo equipment
(Note: CRT monitors and televisions are not being accepted at this event.)
A Gift For Teaching is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, which empowers local teachers by allowing them to obtain supplies that they need in their classrooms for free. Since it was founded by Gary Landwirth in 1998, AGFT has given out over $100,000,000 worth of school supplies, benefiting hundreds of thousands of students across Central Florida each year.
