LONGWOOD, Florida (April 11, 2016) – A1 Assets and the city of Winter Park are teaming up again as part of their bi-annual tradition to host an event for the city’s residents to properly dispose of their unwanted electronics and hazardous waste.
The recycling drive will take place on Saturday, April 16, between 8am-12pm, at Winter Park’s Public Works Compound at 1409 Howell Branch Road. During the event, A1 Assets staff will be present to collect electronic devices, including old computers, monitors, laptops, telephones, stereo equipment, televisions, VCR & DVD players, batteries, and mobile gadgets. At the same time, the city will also be collecting chemicals, oil/gasoline, tires, oil and latex paint and paint thinners, propane tanks, and other types of hazardous chemicals and waste.
All electronics collected will be processed and recycled by A1 Assets in accordance to the strict procedures governed by the ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and R2 certification standards. This process includes the complete secure wiping of all data.
