LONGWOOD, Florida (January 18, 2016) – A1 Assets and A Gift For Teaching are partnering up again to host an electronics recycling drive, marking the third year in a row that the two organizations have gotten together to promote environmental health and support teachers and students in need.
The event will take place on Saturday, January 23rd, between 8am-12pm, at A Gift For Teaching’s headquarters at 6501 Magic Way, Building 400C, in Orlando. Proceeds from items collected at this event will directly benefit AGFT.
Items that will be accepted include:
– Desktop and laptop computers
– Servers, server racks, and peripherals
– Keyboards, mice, and speakers
– Switches, routers, and network equipment
– Computer monitors (including: LCD, LED, Plasma)
– Hard drives, tape drives, & other storage devices
– Projectors
– Printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and fax machines
– Cell phone, laptop, rechargeable, and UPS batteries
– Power supplies and adapters
– Consumer electronics
– Telephones, PDAs, tablets, and cell phones
– Game consoles and controllers
– DVD/CD/VCR players
– Stereo equipment
(Note: CRT monitors and televisions are not being accepted at this event.)
A Gift For Teaching is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, which empowers local teachers by allowing them to obtain supplies that they need in their classrooms for free. Since it was founded by Gary Landwirth in 1998, AGFT has given out more than $93 million worth of school supplies, benefiting students of all ages across Central Florida.
