A1 Assets Teams Up with Vann Data Services For Daytona Beach e-Recycling Event

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONGWOOD, Florida (April 16, 2014) – A1 Assets and Vann Data Services, Inc. are partnering up again for the seventh year in a row to host an electronics recycling event on Friday, April 18, benefiting Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare.

During last year’s event, the trio succeeded in bringing in over 20,000 pounds of recycled electronic devices, helping the environment while raising money for a worthwhile cause.

The following items will be accepted for recycling: computers, monitors, laptops, telephones, office equipment, batteries, stereo equipment, games, and mobile devices. Those concerned about data security can rest assured – A1 Assets will wipe all sensitive data from hard drives and embedded memory of donated electronics in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and organizational best practices.

Drop off will be available from 10am to 2pm at the Vann Data headquarters, located at 1801 Dunn Avenue in Daytona Beach. Voluntary financial contributions are also appreciated.

Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral Healthcare is a local organization providing prevention, intervention, crisis stabilization, education, and treatment services for people suffering from addiction and mental illness. All proceeds from this event will benefit their WARM center at the Vince Carter Sanctuary in Bunnell.

WARM (Woman Assisting Recovering Mothers) is a women’s addiction program that serves residents of Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia Counties in Florida. Last year, WARM served 82 women and 58 children, and during the year a total of 19 drug-free babies were born to women in the program. More information about the Stewart-Marchman-Act services can be obtained at www.smabehavioral.org.
