Microsoft Ends Support for Windows XP

On Tuesday, April 8, 2014, Microsoft officially ended all support for Windows XP, the long-popular operating system that was originally released in 2001. With XP’s end-of-life, Microsoft will no longer be giving any bug fixes or security updates, resulting in increased likelihood that computers still running XP will become vulnerable to a large number of security exploits that will not be fixed. To be able to keep your information secure and better protect yourself from viruses, the best solution would be to upgrade to a computer with Windows 7 or 8, the former being the more popular choice and the easiest for transitioning to.

A1 Assets, through our Refresh Computers brand, is Central Florida’s leading provider of quality-refurbished computer systems with Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional. As a Microsoft approved refurbisher, we are able to take in surplus business-class models, recondition them, and redeploy them into the marketplace with genuine licenses of the newer software. Not only are our prices on these computers very affordable and heavily competitive, we also include hardware warranties on all of the units that we sell. Our staff have a commitment to make the transition for the end-consumer to a newer modern operating system as easy as possible – with any computer purchase at our Refresh stores, we transfer the documents, pictures, and personal files from the old machine to the new one, free of charge. And whether you are potentially looking to modernize your home or business with one, ten, or a hundred computers, we have the inventory ready to meet your needs, personal or professional.
