A Gift For Teaching and A1 Assets Join Forces for Electronics Recycling Drive

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONGWOOD, Florida (April 8, 2013) – A Gift for Teaching and A1 Assets excitedly announce they will co-host an electronics recycling drive May 11. The event will be held at the A Gift for Teaching Headquarters located at 6501 Magic Way Building 400C in Orlando, Florida.

The following items will be accepted: computers, monitors, laptops, televisions, telephones, office equipment, batteries, stereo equipment, games, and mobile devices. Those concerned about data security can rest assured – A1 Assets will wipe all sensitive data from hard drives and embedded memory of donated electronics according to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and organizational best practices.%NEWSPAGE_START_TRUNCATE%

Says A1 Assets President Andrew Hoopper, “This recycling event will be the official kickoff of our partnership with A Gift For Teaching, and we could not be more excited to work with an organization that successfully provides programs and resources for our local schools. Because we live in a society that constantly upgrades our technology, businesses and individuals compile 2.5 million tons of electronic waste every year. Why not clean some of that out while donating to a great cause? We are thrilled to contribute our experience in electronics recycling and IT asset management to eliminate electronic waste in Central Florida while raising money for education.”

For businesses and residents with more than a pickup truck load, please contact A1 Assets directly by calling 407-339-7030 or emailing recycle@a1assets.com.
